Unilux publishes strobe lighting selection guide

The Lighting Selection Guide for specifying stroboscopic inspection lighting, based on data from the Illumination Engineering Society of North America (IESNA) and its allied organizations worldwide, is now available as a PDF download from Unilux, a designer and manufacturer of strobe-based industrial inspection systems.
‘Using data from illumination engineers will help anyone specify the strobe lights they require to meet their needs,’ said Michael Simonis, president, Unilux. ‘The bottom line is that every strobe light application requires a specific amount of light on a specific area so that inspectors can clearly see defects and take the proper steps to correct the situation. Knowing the result they need, specifiers can select the right size and illumination pattern – flood or spot – to decide whether a traditional Xenon or new LED light provides the best view of the material they need to inspect.’
The Lighting Selection Guide includes an IESNA lighting design chart, isolux diagrams and a checklist of inspection lighting parameters. To download a copy of the Lighting Selection Guide from the Unilux home page, visit www.unilux.com and click the link in the ‘What's New’ section.
Unilux designs and manufactures stroboscopic and pulsed LED inspection lights ranging from handheld, battery-powered units for spot or narrow-strip/web inspection or maintenance or troubleshooting applications, to fixed-mounted units capable of inspecting surfaces up to 36 feet (12m) wide either individually or in combination.
