Graphimecc Group appoints Vlad Sljapic as new chief commercial officer

Graphimecc Group - a supplier of encoding, traceability, RFID and anti-counterfeiting technologies based in Verona, Italy - has appointed Dr. Vlad Sljapic as a consulting chief commercial officer for the group.

‘Over the past 35 years, Graphimecc has earned global recognition for innovative technology and quality of its products,’ said Andrea Ranzato Vianello, president and CEO of the Graphimecc Group. ‘We invested our time during the global lockdown wisely, emerging today with a strong, mature platform of solutions, setting new performance standard previously unseen by label and packaging converters in terms of productivity, automation and ROI.’

Vianello continued, ‘I am very proud to welcome Vlad to the Graphimecc family - his expertise, experience and energy will greatly strengthen our next stage of global growth.’

Sljapic said: ‘Traceability, sustainability and product providence are hot topics today that elevated Graphimecc as the thought leader and one of the very few global companies that have “real-world” solutions for challenges of modern economy like track and trace for complex e-commerce supply chains, smart/RFID label and packaging enablement for authentication and brand protection, pharma traceability, high security printing solutions, including tax and fiscal recovery solutions to name a few.’

Dr. Sljapic holds a degree in mechanical engineering and a masters in engineering management from the University of Birmingham (UK) where he also read for a PhD in nanotechnology applied to inkjet printable electronics. Sljapic also worked on a string of projects in molecule-sized sensor development and biomedical lab-on-a-chip research. He completed an MBA focused on digital printing and converting in 2013.

Since 2004, Dr. Sljapic held a number of senior roles in the digital printing industry, including director EMEA for Domino Digital Printing and vice president of global sales for Xeikon. He joins Graphimecc Group from the role of chief commercial officer of AVA, a machine learning and artificial intelligence development company in Berlin, Germany.
