Pro Carton extends deadline for awards

Pro Carton has already made a final call for entries to the Pro Carton/ECMA Award and International Pro Carton Design Award competitions

The annual Pro Carton/ECMA Award scheme for outstanding carton packaging is open to all partners from across the supply chain, including cartonboard producers, converters, designers, brand owners and retail.

Categories include Beverages, Confectionery, Beauty & Cosmetics, Food, Non-food, Pharmaceuticals, Shelf Ready & Display and Volume Markets. Special awards are also awarded for Carton of the Year, Most Innovative and Sustainability.

Pro Carton said prize-winning concepts have provided many a springboard for further ideas, especially as sustainable packaging is becoming increasingly important and are in high demand from consumers.

The International Pro Carton Design Award, being organized for the fifth time in 2014, is an award for new, as yet unrealised design ideas in the field of carton applications and is aimed at students.

The aim of the award is to discover as yet unrealised solutions and ideas throughout Europe relating to the use of carton, to present these to the public, and maybe even realize them.

Winners in both award programs will be presented at the 2014 ECMA - Pro Carton Congress, which takes place in Sorrento, Italy on September 17-20. In addition, all finalists in the International Pro Carton Design Award and their teachers are cordially invited to attend the ECMA – Pro Carton Congress, with travel costs to be paid by Pro Carton.
