Skanem ‘proud’ after FINAT success
European self-adhesive label specialist Skanem has hailed its success at the recent Label Awards as proof that it is ‘moving in the right direction’.

Skanem claimed three awards and received 12 commendations in the 33rd Label Awards competition, held during the 2013 FINAT annual congress.
The FINAT 2013 annual congress was held in early June in Munich, Germany, with 52 companies from 29 countries participating in the awards. A total of 245 entries were submitted this year.
Skanem Skurup, of Scandinavia, won in the marketing/end-uses – food products category, while Skanem Poznan won in the marketing/end-uses – household and printing processes – non-adhesive labels/tags categories.
At the FINAT congress, Skanem Scandinavia was also presented with its honorable mention award for excellence in technical achievement in printing, which was awarded to Skanem Scandinavia last year at the World Label Awards.
Skanem president and chief executive officer Ole Rugland said: ‘Congratulations to Skanem Scandinavia and Skanem Poznan for the awards at FINAT 2013.
‘I would also like to congratulate Skanem Liverpool and Skanem Willich for being nominated in several award categories.
‘I am proud that we have done well at the awards. This shows that Skanem is moving in the right direction of customer focus and technical excellence.’
