Spartanics sells L-350 laser system at Labelexpo Americas

Spartanics sold a L-350 laser cutting system to Korea-based Hana Graphic Art Company during Labelexpo Americas 2012.
Jung-Suk Doh, IT department manager at Hana, said: ‘Combining a Spartanics laser cutting system with our recently acquired Xeikon printing system gives us two first-class digital solutions for quick changeover and short runs.’
Throughout the Technology Workshop at the show, Spartanics preached the benefits of laser cutting, claiming 100 percent savings in tooling costs, 40 percent reduction in job changeover time and 40 percent reduction in scrap materials. The L-350 combines Spartanics’ software control development with best-in-class system components to achieve cutting speeds of up to 80 meters per minute. The sale also included slitting and lamination components for a complete laser converting system.
Mike Bacon, VP of sales and marketing at Spartanics, said: ‘As with all of our customers, Hana Graphic did their homework and studied all of the solutions in the marketplace and felt that Spartanics was distancing themselves from the competition in terms of cut quality and speed.’
