AIM recognizes Bill Toney with industry award

Avery Dennison’s Bill Toney has been announced as the 2025 winner of the AIM Paul Bergé International Business Development Award.
The award recognizes Toney's extensive work in advancing automatic identification and data capture (AIDC) adoption and awareness, signaling his leadership, innovation and international influence in the AIDC space.
For almost 30 years, Toney's global efforts have significantly expanded the reach and practical implementation of digital identification technologies. His visionary leadership has accelerated the adoption of RFID, barcode and connected product technologies across key industries such as retail, food, quick service restaurants and logistics, while inspiring collaboration and standardization across regions and technologies.

AIM is the global industry alliance for stakeholders of RFID, barcoding, smart devices and other AIDC technologies. The Paul Bergé Award recognizes the extensive international AIDC business development efforts spearheaded by Paul Bergé throughout his career.
