Xeikon takes innovation days on tour in Germany
The two-day event at Mail Druck + Medien in Bünde offers label professionals a live look at digital production.
Xeikon has launched Innovation Days On Tour, a travelling event series bringing digital label production demonstrations to converter facilities across Germany, with the first stop scheduled for 26-27 March at Mail Druck + Medien in Bünde.
The event is designed to show label printing professionals how digital workflows, automated processes and on-site laser cutting work in a live production environment. Mail Druck + Medien, a printing specialist founded in 1934 and now focused on fully digital self-adhesive label production, has pioneered laser cutting and automated workflows that eliminate the need for conventional plates or dies, enabling efficient short-run production.
Visitors will be able to walk the production floor, observe a live production run and speak with practitioners about digital label operations. The program also covers sustainable materials and practices, including eco-friendly substrates, food-safe inks and waste-reduction approaches. Event partners Herma and Kurz will be present, with Herma showcasing its HermaTherm top M (912) thermal substrate range and Kurz running live demonstrations on its digital metallization unit installed at the facility.
'We believe in the power of innovation and in forward-looking technology that enables us, as a medium-sized enterprise, to operate as a global player,' said Stefan Mail, owner at Mail Druck + Medien. 'I'm happy to share my insights with fellow label converters to help them make the right choices.'
Danny Mertens, marketing manager at Xeikon, added that the event is designed to show 'how things actually happen in a converter's everyday work, the kind of detail that can spark ideas and help people think differently about their own production.'
The event is free to attend. Registration details are available through Xeikon.
