Avery Dennison expands distribution center in Vietnam

Avery Dennison Vietnam has announced the opening of new distribution center to support the company’s continuous investment in the high growth market of Vietnam.


According to Asia Monitor, May 2007 report, Vietnam is the second fastest growing economy in the Asia-Pacific region after China, posting robust growth of more than eight percent consistently over the past three years.


‘We believe the growth prospects in Vietnam will continue to be very strong,’ said John Quinn, vice president and general manager, Roll Materials Asia Pacific. ‘This investment is part of our on-going strategy to help our customers assist end users develop more pressure-sensitive decorating applications. We believe the people and distribution center location will help us become a better partner to our Vietnamese customers.’


The new distribution center is 28 percent larger than the previous facility and is now more centrally located. This expansion is being driven by increasing market demand for Fasson- brand pressure-sensitive products, which serve broad consumer labeling needs in many industries, including health and beauty, pharmaceutical, beverage, and variable information processing.


The facility which also housed the sales office is fitted with the latest slitting equipments. With the new distribution center, Avery Dennison is able to meet customer demand at shorter delivery times.
