The BAPC’s 2012 conference will take place on September 21-22 at The Holiday Inn hotel in Elstree, Herts, UK. The BAPC, run by printers for printers, is a UK-based trade association for creative industries including the graphic arts, print and communication sectors.

A full program is currently in preparation and speakers already booked to appear are Sean Brickell, returning following great success in 2011; Barney Cox of Infotrends; Chas Moloney, director of marketing at Ricoh UK; Nick Devine, The Print coach; and Kevin O’Donnell, marketing manager at Xerox. Also speaking will be Nigel Toplis, managing director of the Kall Kwik network and traveling in from Belgium social media specialist Stan Lemmens of Duomedia.

The day will include a round table discussion from a converter panel and will tackle diverse issues such as the increasing market for wide format printing, the vagaries of contract work and the utilization of cross-media campaigns. A key point of the discussions will be the uptake and possible influences of social media tools within the industry.

Sidney Bobb, BAPC chairman, commented: ‘The BAPC has an enviable reputation for organizing stunning and rewarding conferences which inform, educate, motivate and entertain. This year will certainly be no exception and I urge everyone to ensure that the date is firmly set in their diaries. Please feel free to send me any ideas you may have or any specific issues you would like us to address during our panel sessions. There will, as usual, be an array of industry specialists, business gurus and entertainers on hand to ensure that the 2012 BAPC conference will be a truly memorable occasion”.
