IoPP UK to launch cross-industry membership drive at Packaging Innovations

The Institute of Packaging Professionals (IoPP) will officially launch its membership drive for the UK division at Packaging Innovations 2012, taking place at the Design Business Centre, London on October 4-5.
 
IoPP UK said it is dedicated to creating networking and educational opportunities for all those involved in packaging, from brand managers right to packaging specialists.
 
Membership is designed to give packaging professionals a place to learn what is new and relevant, get industry hints, meet face-to-face at events and share expertise with over 9,000 members in 40 countries. 
 
Training
At its members launch at the show, IoPP UK will be demonstrating its ready developed suite of online training modules. The training has been devised by leading packaging authorities, and has varying levels from a foundation course up to the prestigious Certificate of Packaging Professional. 
 
The training has been built around the need for distance learning and each can be completed from the office desk.
 
IoPP UK will also be hosting a variety of learnShops at Packaging Innovations, including speakers from Coca-Cola Enterprises who will be addressing sustainability. Tesco Direct will discuss the challenges of online packaging, and The Fairtrade Foundation, will talk on why no brand can afford to ignore the ethical consumer.
 
Cross-industry membership
IoPP UK director Kevin Vyse said: ‘Launching IoPP UK at the capital's annual packaging event demonstrates how keen we are to involve everyone in the packaging sector from marketers and packaging specialists through to designers and creatives.
