Hueck Folien has opened a high-vacuum metallization facility at its headquarters in Baumgartenberg, Austria. In total, the company has invested 8.6M Euros into the facility. Hueck Folien develops and manufactures all its products in Europe, investing in advanced technologies to achieve ecological neutrality by 2035.

CEO Christoph Steger said: 'Baumgartenberg is far more than just our production site – it is the heart and brain of Hueck Folien. With the new high-vacuum metallization facility, we are setting another milestone in our 55-year success story and reaffirming our technological leadership in the global market.

'This investment is a clear commitment to the long-term perspective of our site in the center of Europe and to developing sustainable, forward-looking solutions for our international customers.'

The new metallization facility delivers uniform coating thickness, maintaining a constant metal layer thickness of +/- 2 nanometers at a production speed of 1,000m per minute, all under fully automated quality control.

The expanded production area and increased automation not only boost efficiency but also significantly improve the company’s ecocompany's footprint, enabling the creation of smart surfaces for global markets and reinforcing Hueck Folien’s position as a technology pioneer and innovation driver.

Peter Haubner, second president of the National Council of the Austrian Parliament, said: 'Hueck Folien impressively demonstrates how industrial excellence and regional roots work together. Baumgartenberg is a beacon for sustainable innovation and economic strength in Austria.'
