The BAPC has announced that APCOM (the Association of Print & Communication Managers) has agreed to partner on its 2006 conference and will encourage its members to participate in the event.

APCOM’s membership consists of operations within all areas of the UK’s public sector in-plants and spans district and borough councils to larger unitary, county, metropolitan and police operations. APCOM executive member Mitch Fisk stated: ‘We are pleased to be able to associate ourselves with the BAPC Conference. APCOM is very aware of the work the BAPC does and this event will allow our members to have the opportunity to network with commercial printers and their suppliers.’

Plans for the 2006 BAPC Conference are at an advanced stage, and the BAPC expects to build upon its established reputation for organizing effective, entertaining and informative events. With a keynote address from renowned USA business expert Jeff Tobe, entertainment from magician and all-round entertainer Paul Daniels, together with a series of eight focused workshops, the mixture has lots of appeal.

Tony Honnor, BAPC Association director, commented: ‘It has always been our aim to encourage everyone within the sector to participate in our conference whether they are members of the BAPC or not and certainly being joined by APCOM goes a little way towards this end. The BAPC is trying to create a community within the graphic arts sector so the wider the representation we have at our conference the closer we come to achieving our goal.’

The BAPC Conference 2006 will take place over the weekend of September 29 at the Daventry Hotel, Daventry, Northamptonshire. For further information or to register, visit http://www.bapc.co.uk/ <http://www.bapc.co.uk/>  or call 44 (0)20 8349 3009.
