Diana cuts outwork for Quantum

Quantum Print & Packaging recently became the first company in the UK to take delivery of a Heidelberg Diana X 115 folder gluer.  ‘This investment helps us optimize the production process and represents a huge step towards our efficiency goals,’ explained Chris Holmes, managing director, adding: ‘the arrival of the Diana marks the end of any outplacement of gluing work.’

The company, which employs 32 staff, is looking for the Diana to boost turnover by 20 percent across a range of short to medium run folded cartons printed on its Heidelberg presses, as well as stock boxes, blister cards and point of sale and display packaging for its broad customer base in the UK.

According to Peter Thomas, production director: ‘The Diana X gives us greater flexibility, higher production speeds, simpler setup, shorter make-ready times, and the ability to offer more bespoke, individually styled cartons and packaging products.’  Quantum Print & Packaging holds quality and environmental certification in the form of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 respectively.
