Asia Pacific’s first L350UV installed at Australian printing site
Sydney printer, DS Labels has installed a Screen Truepress Jet L350UV to expand the range of its short-run label offering.
The inner city suburban company is the first in the Asia Pacific region to install the $1 million machine which was originally imported by Screen earlier this year to showcase its new digital technology. DS Managing Director Deane Sproule is quoted as recalling having spent a year looking at 40 different printers before deciding to purchase the L350UV with the aim of enabling his company to widen its short turnaround work ability on a broader range of substrates than it was able on a more limited conventional range of hardware. Screen Australian reseller Jet Technology’s Director, Jack Malki confirmed DS Labels had also installed a Smag E-Cut finishing line along with the new printer. It is understood that Screen is importing a second L350UV from Japan, given the buoyancy of the Australian label market and its industry’s on-going emphasis on digital label production.
