DataLase secures patent in Brazil as it targets growth in Latin America

In-line digital printing specialist DataLase, part of Sato Group, has secured a further patent in Brazil for its inkless technology, with the company seeking to expand into Latin America.

DataLase has identified the development of a range of market applications on a global basis

DataLase believes there is a growing demand in the region for its digital printing technology, which enables brand owners to digitally print products and packaging in-line at full line speeds, and facilitating late-stage customization and personalization.

Mark Naples, chief marketing officer at DataLase, said: ‘This patent further strengthens our position as market leaders in our field, providing overarching protection for a broad range of materials that enable inkless digital printing. Our technology is currently present in the UK, Japan and the US, and we feel it is now the right time to expand into Latin America.’

With offices in the UK, US and Japan, DataLase has identified the development of a range of market applications on a global basis, and Naples explained: ‘We anticipate outstanding progress in Latin America, working with potential new partners to deliver game-changing in-line digital print solutions into an array of markets and applications.’
