Dscoop EMEA holds successful first conference

- Networking evident at first meeting of digital printers from across Europe, the Middle East and Africa
The first Dscoop EMEA event attracted more than 500 members of the region’s digital printing industry to Barcelona, where the benefits of cooperation, sharing and learning were heavily promoted.
Dscoop EMEA was launched officially at Labelexpo Europe 2011, and follows the established Dscoop user groups in North America and the Asia-Pacific region.
Dscoop (Digital Solutions Cooperative) is an independent global community of HP Graphic Arts customers.
As well as labels and packaging printers and converters, companies from the commercial and large format markets were represented at the conference.
The conference featured presentations and networking opportunities for members of the Dscoop cooperative from across the EMEA region. Three “tracks” shaped the series of presentations over the three-day event. The tracks focused on: commercial print; label and packaging; and business, sales and marketing.
The labels and packaging track included presentations from HP’s Christian Menegon on understanding the value of digital, Mike Ferrari on using digital to create value for brands and US-based Innovative Labeling Solutions discussing opportunities where it has been able to maximize business through the use of digital printing.
Speakers from consumer product companies Procter & Gamble and Coca-Cola also presented as part of the labels and packaging track.
The Print United conference kicked off with delegates taking a tour of the HP Graphic Arts Customer Center.
