Epson introduces SurePress L-6034VW
Epson introduced the SurePress L-6034VW, its first single-pass digital label press and the first to use the company's PrecisionCore printhead technology and it's new LED-curing technology, at Labelexpo Europe. It handles paper and heat-sensitive film substrates in widths from 80mm to 340mm wide. Besides CMYK and white, the L-6034VW offers matte and glossy spot or coated varnishing. The design incorporates a central drum for accurate web management. The top speed is 15m/minute.

Epson also showed the existing SurePress L-4033AW, a multiple-pass and 7-color inkjet label press with white ink for new entrants to inkjet printing The Epson AQ ink set includes green and orange inks.
Presenting the new products, Epson's global president, Minoru Usui, said the PrecisionCore technology represented the company's next generation of print heads. He claimed a 'state-of-the-art' status for them, citing the use of advanced materials.
