Landa grows manufacturing footprint to develop nanography

- Landa Nanographic Printing print quality to match offset by 2014, reaching the higher end of the offset quality range by Drupa 2016
- Company continuing to make developments to quality and reliability, supported by investment in new testing and R&D facility
The Landa Nanographic Printing process will cross the offset quality threshold by the end of 2013, reaching the higher end of the offset quality range by the next Drupa, supported by growth in the company's manufacturing infrastructure.
Six Landa Nanographic Printing presses were unveiled at Drupa 2012 to much acclaim, although the technology will not be seen on pressroom floors until the end of 2013 as the print quality is raised.
Despite the ongoing development of the digital printing process, a number of companies have already signed letters of intent to purchase and install one of the Landa presses, described by one of those to have put pen to paper as “bleeding edge” technology.
Since Drupa 2012, Landa has continued to develop the technology, improve print quality and increase system reliability.
Landa has also continued to grow its manufacturing infrastructure in Israel, which Package Print Worldwide visited earlier this year, and has recently expanded its testing and R&D capacity (a press is pictured being moved into the new facility below).

Beta test installations are scheduled for the start of 2014, when the technology will have crossed over into the offset quality range for the first time.
In addition, the dates used are reference points on the print quality “S” curve rather than shows that Landa will definitely exhibit at, and the company is still reviewing its position with regard to participating at Ipex 2014.
