OKI Data Americas has added two distributors – Northern Graphic Solutions and Canadian Printing Equipment – to the proColor division’s growing network throughout Canada.

Both organizations now offer select products from the OKI proColor series of high definition color printers, including the pro900DP Digital Envelope Press and the pro510 Digital Web Press, which are designed for use within the flexographic, and graphic arts and production markets.

The OKI proColor series delivers professional, production-quality color output and color accuracy powered by embedded EFI Fiery and Pantone support on select models. Different products and configurations offer specialized media flexibility including envelopes, continuous feed and variable data.

‘The addition of Northern Graphic Solutions and Canadian Printing Equipment to the OKI proColor distribution network within Canada reflects the brand’s growth and the line’s marketability within the flexographic, graphic arts and production markets,’ said Rich Egert, general manager of the Strategic Technology Provider Business Group for OKI Data Americas. ‘OKI’s proColor series offers a comprehensive product line that satisfies the needs of the industry through our innovative and cost-effective digital printing solutions. Now even more customers will be able to see first-hand the enhanced features and functionality of our high impact digital printing devices that deliver short-run solutions for color-critical applications.’

Based in Vaughan, Ontario, Northern Graphic Solutions (Northern) is a Canadian flexographic distributor. ‘We believe every flexo converter must look to invest in digital technology. Northern has investigated several digital technologies for quality, reliability, flexibility, cost of operation and return on investment, and we selected the OKI 510DW Digital Web Press as our solution of choice for label applications,’ said Martin Babler, president of Northern.

Canadian Printing Equipment (CPE) of Winnipeg, Manitoba, offers pre-press, digital and offset printing, bindery and finishing equipment throughout western Canada. According to CPE’s president, Ken McCallum, ‘As we sought to supplement our product line with digital offerings, quality was a key consideration. We were looking for “unconventional” digital equipment – products that delivered high quality, short run output and a strong value proposition. That’s why we selected the OKI proColor printers.’
