Xeikon tripled its net profit from 1.7 million euros (USD 2.4m) in the first half of 2010 to 5.9 million euros (USD 8.2m) during the same period in 2011. The group’s operational cash flow (EBITDA) rose 16 percent, from 12.2 million euros (USD 17m) in the first half of 2010 to 14.2 million euros (USD 19.9m) during the same period in 2011.

The company says the results are mainly attributed to the revenue growth of its digital printing product line, especially in the USA.

Wim Maes, CEO of Xeikon, said: ‘We follow the mantra of customer intimacy and are committed to understanding our customers’ requirements and delivering solutions that meet or exceed those requirements. This impressive growth in our revenues simply means that more customers are printing more labels and document/commercial applications on our technology, thereby leveraging the higher productivity, image quality, flexibility and sustainability of our presses.

‘Our strong EBITDA financially strengthens our company for the future. At the same time, it also enables us to further invest in both R&D and customer intimacy, two of our strongest success factors.’
