US converter ProLabel installs Xeikon 3030 digital press

ProLabel, a US-based label converter, has installed a Xeikon 3030 digital label press.  

Established in 1995, the company is based in southern Florida, serving customers across the US and specializing in digital color labels for the cosmetics, food and beverage industries.

The company has always used conventional flexographic technology but, seeing a shift towards shorter runs, founder Ramon Fernandez began looking into digital presses. He explained, ‘The flexo technology, which requires lengthy plate processing and make-ready times, wasn't up to the task of handling shorter runs cost effectively. I took an exhaustive look at what was available on the market, traveling across the US to see for myself what could satisfy ProLabel's customer base.’

Fernandez continued, ‘I needed a digital press that, once installed, I wouldn't have to worry about a thing. That's when I found the Xeikon 3030. This press delivers high-quality labels in a much shorter timeframe than what we were used to.’

The Xeikon 3030 is the entry-level model in the Xeikon 3000 series of digital label presses. It enabled an easy transition to digital technology for ProLabel and is capable of handling web widths of up to 13 inches. The company can upgrade to one of the other press models in the series to handle wider web widths (20.3 inches) and/or faster print speeds/monthly duty cycles to match increasing demand and business grows.
