DuPont Color communications has appointed London Graphic Centre as distributors in the UK to sell its new Cromalin Largo system. The contract was signed at DuPont’s recent open day held at the prestigious Landmark Hotel, London on June 1 2006.

Based in Convent Garden, the London Graphic Centre specializes in the supply of graphic materials. The company services the leading design and advertising agencies in London and offers arts and graphic materials, corporate office supplies, computer consumables and color printing systems.

Lee Williams, technical director of London Graphic Systems explained, ‘We have been supplying and servicing the London creative industry for over 30 years, DuPont have always been selling into our market and being a distributor on their behalf seems like a natural progression.

‘We are very pleased to align ourselves with DuPont, who have been at the forefront of the proofing market for many years. We believe that our outstanding service to London’s creative industry will complement the excellent quality and efficiency of DuPont’s new Cromalin Largo and we are looking forward to providing our customers with a winning combination.’

The new Cromalin Largo is an inkjet proofing system, using drop on demand (DOD) technology and is driven by DuPont’s Cromanet CS (Color Server) color management software. The system produces contract quality proofs with DuPont’s ink and proofing media. The Largo produces high quality proofs at an affordable price and when incorporated into print production workflows it can improve approval cycles, turnaround times and proof to press accuracy.

Gary Voisey, account manager DuPont UK said: ‘We are looking forward to working with London Graphic Centre, we believe their proven track record in serving the creative industry and their knowledge of the market and customer base will prove to be a great success. We are confident they are the right distributor to develop our UK sales of the Cromalin Largo.’
