Edale chosen for flexible packaging in Belarus

Following the successful installation of an Edale Gamma 430 flexo press in 2011, Belarus based printing company Bobruisk recently threw open its doors to other prospective Edale customers to see the eight-color servo driven Gamma line, and an Edale Alpha press in action.

Well established as one of the oldest printing houses in Belarus, Bobruisk has specialized in printing of a wide range of printed forms and high-security documents, but the new Edale flexo printing and converting system is being used to produce all of the company’s flexible packaging products.

The Gamma features servo drives on each print head providing pre-register, auto-register and print length control, which, combined with its revolutionary print head design, ensures that job change times and set up waste is kept to a minimum.  In fact, Bobruisk was demonstrating a print head color change in less than 70 seconds at the Open House.

Speaking for Bobruisk, director Vladimir Pasko thanked Edale’s export sales director Bernhard Grob, and print application engineer Chris Chappel for supporting the event and commented: ‘Edale’s attitude towards machines for niche market applications was instrumental in moving us into flexo.  It has given us a market lead and shown a fast return on investment.  The Gamma has been in double or triple shift production since it was installed.’

Edale will be exhibiting a range of equipment at Drupa 2012 on Stand A63 in Hall 15.
