FFTA unveils interactive interface for TEST Virtual Campus

Foundation of FTA’s TEST (Technical Education Services Team) Virtual Campus, a web-based training and education tool, boasts a newly designed Adobe Flash interface, allowing users a more dynamic and interactive experience when navigating the campus.
The campus features seven buildings and 13 building wings, housing a combined 350+ online courses that offers training on FIRST Operator Certification to professional development to environmental and health and safety courses.
‘This new interface really lends credence to the whole idea of the TEST Virtual Campus,’ commented FTA education director Joe Tuccitto. ‘Users can quickly and easily identify the courses most applicable to them simply by mousing over a building to see which kinds of courses are available in the particular area.’
Currently, the site features seven structures: a press lab; a consumables lab; a general education building; a graphics lab; an FTA certification hall; an environmental building; and a student services office. Most buildings have separate wings for the different courses they house (i.e. the press lab contains a wide web, a narrow web, and a corrugated wing.) Additional building wings include: anilox roll manufacturing; inks; substrates; graphic design; platemaking; prepress; OSHA safety; Microsoft training; and sales and customer service.
FFTA/FTA president Mark Cisternino stated: ‘FFTA’s TEST program is committed to providing the industry with the high-quality training and education it needs to accelerate productivity and profitability. The Virtual Campus interface is the next evolution of this commitment, enabling users to earn the training and skills they need, at affordable prices, to help differentiate themselves in the marketplace.’
