The awards celebrate manufacturing companies based in the north-west of the UK, and British manufacturing overall.

The Highcon Euclid has already played a part in helping the converter win plaudits, with Glossop Cartons’ Packaging Superheroes marketing campaign picking up top prize in the Marketing Campaign of the Year category at the 2013 Derbyshire’s Best Business Awards.

Glossop Cartons said the addition of the Euclid to its manufacturing plant in Padfield has meant it can offer customers faster speeds to market, greater flexibility and cost savings on shorter runs.

Innovia Films has also been shortlisted in the Made in the North West Awards program, in the Apprenticeship or Training Scheme category. Innovia Films recently detailed its participation in the Brathay Apprentice Challenge 2014 after claiming the title in 2013.

The Made in the North West Awards ceremony takes place on February 27 at the Park Royal Hotel in Warrington. There are eight categories in the award program, with the winners automatically going through to the Made in the UK Awards dinner, which forms part of the International Festival for Business 2014.
