Vivid unveils Matrix FoilLabel and Veloton at Labelexpo Barcelona

Vivid Laminating Technologies has confirmed it will launch its Matrix FoilLabel and Veloton systems at Labelexpo Barcelona 2025, making premium label embellishment more accessible for all label printers.

The new Matrix reel-to-reel digital foiling system introduces the ability to foil and laminate reel-to-reel and efficiently take up waste from label stock. The technology enables digital printers to add premium metallic finishes and special effects to label substrates without the high costs traditionally associated with foiling.

According to the company, the Veloton increases cutting speeds on positioned multiple cuts, making production up to ten times faster. The advancement extends digital cutting capabilities for both roll and cut sheet applications.

'With the launch of Matrix FoilLabel, we're opening the door for digital printers of all sizes to embrace label foiling,' stated Gavin Ward, technical director at Vivid. 'The system brings together the flexibility and quality the Matrix is known for, with reel-to-reel finishing that streamlines workflows, making label enhancement more affordable and accessible than ever before.'

The system features Matrix Metallic technology, ensuring that the majority of label stocks, including textured materials, are foilable. Setup takes less than five minutes, and changing over foil colors is fast and straightforward, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum productivity.

Live demonstrations of the Matrix FoilLabel at booth 3E15 will showcase how digital foiling can enhance labels with metallic effects and improve their shelf appeal. The Matrix FoilLabel will run in conjunction with the VeloBlade Volta during the exhibition.

Vivid will also showcase the VeloBlade Volta with Veloton and Velotaper, the ZipCore Packaging Suite, Matrix Metallic and Omniflow Feeder.
