French converter installs MPS EC press

The JPL Group has purchased an EC printing press from MPS for its facility in Rouen, France, which specializes in labels for the agro-chemical industry.

JPL’s general manager Philippe Leyval commented: ‘We selected MPS for our small and medium run lengths because our print runs tend to be very fragmented. JPL already owns a MPS press at 510 mm (20 inch) print width and is very happy with its performance. We have selected this new MPS press for its revolutionary, full servo motor integrated technology.’

The MPS machine has increased print and press automation through the Automated Print Control and iControl systems. When using the job memory software, repeat jobs are said to have virtually no set up waste. Philippe Leyval said: ‘Our new EC machine will be delivered in 8-color, 410 mm (16 inch) format. The press is unique and perfect for short order work with its use of short web technology, cold UV driers, print sleeves and Crisp.Dot technology. These techniques all come together to offer unparalleled print performance. Last but not least, the converting rail which supports the converting and added value technologies, gives the optimal flexibility we need.’
