Gidue announces press sales into India and Poland
Italian press manufacturer Gidue has announced sales of its Combat presses to Interlabels Industries (P) Ltd of India and Tom-Druck of Poland.
Interlabels Industries, established in 1983 and located in the outskirts of Mumbai, has purchased an 8-color E-Combat 370 UV flexo press for the production of self-adhesive labels. The company is active in the beauty and cosmetics, household products, pharmaceutical, food and beverage and automotive industries.
The company features three divisions: one entirely dedicated to labels (security labels, hot temperature labels, VIP labels); a second to automatic labeling machines produced in cooperation with the Italian company Arca, and a third one offering barcode solutions in partnership with suppliers like Sato and Symbol Technologies.
Mr Gautam Kothari, managing director of Interlabels Industries, said: ‘We traditionally worked with narrow presses and were looking for a wider web machine. Full servo technology was another element we were looking for and finding both in one single equipment was a lucky shot.’
The E-Combat is part of the Gidue Combat family, which has more than 200 installations worldwide. The print and impression cylinders are driven by two independent motors to achieve versatility on any substrate, from PE unsupported film to 250 microns carton. One of the E-Combat distinguishing mark is the Flower, the Gidue patented flexo head, which is claimed to grant high printing quality, adjustment-free operation, lifetime stability and high operating speeds to best suit short production runs and interchangeability of operators.
Interlabels worked closely with Reifenhuser India Ltd., who is Gidue’s agent in the country.
Polish company Tom-Druck recently ordered a Gidue S-Combat equipped with cold foil. The new press, width 280 and first Gidue for the Polish company, will be dedicated to the self-adhesive label market to produce and print added-value labels up to six colors.
Many companies in Poland are experiencing a strong growth: the EU has directed funds for investment restructuring and many companies can get between 30-50 percent of the cost of the machine back.
This is the twelfth press Gidue has sold into Poland.
