Gidue targets Middle Eastern market
Gidue is going to take part in Gulf Print 2007, a significant platform into the Middle Eastern market that will be held next April 2-5 in Dubai at the Airport Expo.
After selling a Combat press to a Jordanian label printer, the Italian press manufacturer sees the Middle East as a key developing market.
Gulf Print 2007 is the most important event in the Middle East for the print industry, where everyone can experience the latest innovations in the fast moving world of labels and packaging, and attend seminars and conferences focusing on the newest developments in this field.
The exhibition will attract print and publishing industries from all over the world, which Gidue sees as a chance to expand its presence at every level between East and West.
Gidue has sold its Combat press to Jordan-based Digital Labels, founded in 2004, which provides the food, beverage and automotive markets with solutions in the packaging and self-adhesive fields.
‘After the evaluation of various presses we found Gidue to be the most advanced form of technology and still the leading printing process for high quality,’ commented Amer Sabha, owner and general manager of Digital Labels. ‘The Combat press we bought is the one best suited to our production needs: it is used for printing on a wide range of substrates including pressure sensitive paper, supported and unsupported films, DPVC, BOPP and OPP for shrink sleeves, wrap around labels, barrier films and pouches. The ability to run different substrates also gives us the flexibility to look at new market areas that were previously closed to us.’
‘The performance of our Combat in terms of standardization played a big role in our growth, together with the strong leadership and market direction provided to us by Gidue,’ he continued. ‘We are really impressed with the Italian company’s complete industry standard solution which provides consistent and reliable technologies, as well as the outstanding before and after sale support'.
