Hammer Packaging chooses Radius Solutions as ERP/MIS partner

Radius Solutions Ltd, the integrated Business Information Management/Enterprise Resource Planning provider for the printing and packaging industry, has announced that Hammer Packaging is implementing PECAS Vision to support its strategic business objectives.  

Hammer Packaging is a privately held, North American, high-quality package printing company with a focus on labels and product decoration for consumer products.

Hammer Packaging decided to replace its existing information management systems with a single integrated end-to-end solution that will tie together its multi-facility operations.  The new system will automate manual processes and eliminate the need to internally maintain multiple systems, databases and spreadsheets to manage daily operations and reporting. 

‘Now that we have five different facilities, it has become more difficult to track down the right person to get information whenever we need it.  We require a system that we can easily use for real-time access to accurate business information,’ said Jason Hammer, manager of production services at Hammer Packaging.

Hammer Packaging considered a number of software vendors both industry specific and generic ERP providers, before thoroughly evaluating two final vendors and selecting Radius Solutions. The industry specific focus and references were strong deciding factors as well as PECAS Vision’s strong capabilities in the areas of scheduling, work-in-progress tracking and lot traceability. Ease of Use was also an important consideration.

Hammer Packaging will implement the entire PECAS Vision Suite including: sales and production estimating, order handling, production scheduling, shop floor data collection, material purchasing and inventory control, job costing and financials. The application roll-out will start at its Rochester Headquarters and is expected to be completed across all of its facilities by the beginning of next January.
