Hammer Packaging has been awarded ‘Best Workplace’ in the Americas 2008 for its ‘exemplary’ human resources practices. The Best Workplace in the Americas program allows companies to compare human relations programs and policies to other companies in the graphic arts industry. This year marks the eighth year of the program and the sixth time since 2001 that Hammer Packaging has earned this distinction.

A panel of HR professionals with experience in the graphic arts industry reviewed the submissions. All of the winning companies actively show their employees that they care about their work environment, their personal goals and ambitions, as well as the needs of the company.

The program evaluates success in eight human relations areas: management practices; work environment; training and development opportunities; financial security; work-life balance; recognition and rewards; health and wellness programs; and workplace health and safety.

‘We will continue to lead with the right people and maintain a successful workforce by providing them with a superior environment,’ said James E. Hammer, president & CEO.
