Harper goes full throttle at Labelexpo Americas
Global anilox supplier Harper Corporation of America is running full speed ahead into Chicago this September with a milestone anniversary celebration and a Harley Davidson giveaway at Labelexpo Americas.
‘We’re really excited to get to Chicago,’ says Jim Kissner, senior national sales manager at Harper. ‘In the past several quarters we have seen the narrow web market accelerate in terms of new press orders and interest in our XLT technology. Add this market momentum to our 35th anniversary and the Harley promotion, and we’re primed for a high-energy week.’
Founded in 1971, Harper Corporation will mark its 35th anniversary in booth 401 at Labelexpo Americas, and participate in a major prize giveaway with eight other flexo suppliers.
Labelexpo Americas attendees will have the opportunity to win a 2006 Harley Davidson XL1200C Sportster at the event this year, courtesy of nine contest sponsors, including Harper Corporation. In order to enter the drawing, participants will obtain a ticket and have it punched at each of the sponsor companies’ booths. Daily drawings will determine contest finalists. On the convention’s last day, September 14, each remaining finalist will receive a motorcycle key and the opportunity to turn it in the prize motorcycle’s ignition. The winner of the Harley Davidson will be announced when the winning key turns and the ‘hog’ roars to life.
Harper Corporation will showcase its advancements at Labelexpo Americas, most notably the new Platinum XLT digital transfer technology, which became available worldwide earlier this year. In addition, attendees will have the opportunity to see Harper’s XLT anilox rolls in action at the exhibits of several press manufacturers at the show.
HarperScientific, Harper’s printing and coating supplies division, will also exhibit its new products, including PEC (Performance Enhancing Cylinder), a patent-pending plate cylinder coating for narrow web presses that absorbs vibration. HarperScientific will also introduce Re-Leez, a new on-press anilox cleaner for water-based ink.
‘The PEC special surface coating combats the printing problems that are inherit to most geared presses,’ says Tony Donato, HarperScientific technical sales solutions manager. ‘In addition, it improves plate life and long-run consistency even on the new gearless presses.'
