Heidelberg UK increases training options

Heidelberg has opened a National Training Center in Brentford, UK in response to requests from customers, supported by feedback from a recent Market Intelligence Survey.

The new facility includes six dedicated training rooms, 12 workstations and over 30 training staff. Rahul Madhavan (pictured), who is responsible for business consulting and training, explained: ‘In tough market conditions, printers are looking to optimize use of their existing equipment, and investing in training or updating skills is an effective means of doing that. In Formula 1, having the best car is no guarantee of a win without the most skilled driver. It’s the same for printing companies.’

Respondents to the survey asked for training in print color management, equipment productivity, maintenance, and application training, so these will feature among the product, technical and business improvement areas to be covered by the courses.

Heidelberg UK now offers training on pre-press, press and post-press equipment in the showroom, as well as bespoke services such as business optimization programs. Each course mixes theory with practice.
