Herma launches ‘exhibition offensive’

Herma says it is ‘underscoring the continued significance of live events by starting a global exhibition offensive’ – signing up to exhibit at a series of upcoming trade shows including Labelexpo Europe 2022 in Brussels in April.

Herma will exhibit at Labelexpo Europe 2022 in Brussels in April

The manufacturer of label applicators and self-adhesive materials will exhibit at PackExpo in Las Vegas, PPMA in Birmingham and SWOP in Shanghai this year. Next spring it will be present at Logimat in Stuttgart, ACHEMA in Frankfurt and Labelexpo Europe in Brussels.

While trade shows were unable to operate, Herma established a multimedia platform called HERMAviEvent, which enables customers to watch events and presentations of labeling machines and self-adhesive materials live on screen.

‘In many respects the Covid-19 pandemic was – and continues to be – a very challenging time for everyone. But it also taught us a valuable lesson about how customers and other stakeholders want to keep in touch with technology companies such as Herma in the future,’ said Martin Kühl, vice president of Labeling Machines.

‘For one thing, it highlighted a clear desire to maintain live face-to-face contact in the long term. At the same time, many of the people we talk to have come to appreciate the advantages of sharing even fairly complex content digitally. The benefits include the ability to obtain initial insights quickly, achieve cost savings or overcome unforeseen travel restrictions – but no matter how they are harvested, nobody wants these options to be taken away. We are well equipped to engage with our audiences in the many different ways that are now possible.’
