The HP Indigo press has already streamlined production and increased productivity, while providing high resolution printing, intelligent color matching and reduced production waste. According to the company, the speed of the press significantly contributed to an increase in production output and further reduced order fulfillment times.

The two ABG Omega 350 converting machines are expected to increase capacity for labels on sheet formats, improving production quality, capacity, accuracy and speed, while expanding its range of sheet formats and label shapes and sizes.

‘This is a significant investment for AA Labels and is designed to maximize capacity within our existing site. In terms of production staff operating the equipment, we are now up to a team of 15 within the factory and warehouse on one day-time shift. We now plan to increase capacity further in-line with demand with the introduction of additional work shifts,’ said Ian Axelsen, business development manager at AA Labels.

‘AA Labels continues to grow in excess of 20 percent each year in volume terms, with the printed label part of the business growing faster still and almost doubling year-on-year. It is this continuous investment in people and technology that contributes to the expansion of services and winning of market share for the business,’ added Axelsen.

The company now has a total of five converting lines for sheeted label production and is also making plans for a further six-figure investment in an additional roll label converting machine this year to keep up with customer demand.
