AR Packaging Halmstad installs Comexi S1 DS slitter

Swedish flexible and cardboard packaging converter AR Packaging Halmstad has added a new Comexi S1 DS slitting machine to increase its productivity. The machine will be installed in the company’s Halmstad plant (Sweden). The relationship between the two companies dates back approximately 30 years when AR Packaging Halmstad purchased the first Comexi machine.

Presently, there are three types of Comexi machinery, flexo press machines with a central drum, slitters, and laminators at the company’s plant. All converting machines in the Halmstad plant are from Comexi.

AR Packaging Halmstad was founded in 1929 by Erik Akerlund and Ruben Rausing to reshape European pre-packed goods retailing. Today, among others, the company's flexible packaging division is a leading provider of packaging for food and consumer goods, beauty and cosmetics, confectionery, food services, tobacco, as well as pharmaceutical and medical industries.   
 
The plant in Halmstad is specialized in the production of flexible food packaging with a barrier protection.
