CS Labels adds further Xeikon press

CS Labels has installed a further Xeikon digital press, a 3300 model, as part of its growth ambitions.

The company has continued to grow 20% year-on-year, and is already the largest digital printer in Europe to use Xeikon technology.

The new 3300 complements three existing Xeikon presses installed at CS Labels’ site in Willenhall, although can utilize Xeikon’s ICE toner, so expanding its reach to also cover extremely high-quality polyethylene labels. CS Labels is the first printer in the UK to utilize this product.

In line with the company’s recent accreditation to ISO 14001 in January 2014 for environmental commitment, Ice toner, like the other toners in use, has no VOC emissions.

The expansion will cope with the growing demand for digital print and increase production capacity by 25 percent at CS Labels.

CS Labels managing director Simon Smith said: ‘Digital print is really opening up various other avenues for us, and pushing boundaries is the foundation of our success. The new press, with the addition of the ICE technology means that we can print on substrates never thought possible before, and fulfil the huge demand that we have had for these kinds of products already.
