Dixie Sign & Decals installs Rollem semi-slitter

Alabama-based Dixie Signs & Decals has invested in a Rollem 36in semi-slitter to upgrade its kiss-cutting technology and further improve the production quality.

Dixie Signs & Decals has been manufacturing custom decals, nameplates and pressure sensitive labels for over 37 years and is known as one of the leading providers of high quality screen printed graphics.

The company’s focus is to be the best for its customers, employees, profitability, community and to the future of all of the above.

By reinvesting gains into modern technology and automation, Dixie hopes to make it easy for its employees to produce excellent products which in turn makes happy, stress free customers.

‘Realizing our kiss-cutting methods were in need of updating, we met with Rollem at the Printing United trade show to see a demonstration on its semi-slitter model,’ said Richard Milberger, president  of Dixie Signs & Decals.

‘We were very impressed with the speed and depth of cut accuracy this model offers. The 36in width was ideal to handle our largest products requiring back slitting. Since the day it was installed, we’re very pleased with the ease of operation and dependability of our Rollem semi-slitter,’ concluded Milberger.
