Naalin Sharma, director of Global Graphics Machineries, said: ‘We generated many good enquiries at Labelexpo India 2014.

‘Many companies from the label industry booked flexo printing presses, flatbed die-cutting equipment, stamping and punching machines, and slitter rewinders at the show floor.’

The company launched a 7-color Weigang flexo press in India at the show floor, and the press displayed was sold to Star Offset, which also acquired a 100 percent label inspection machine from Intergraphic Sales & Services. The unique feature of the Weigang flexo press is that it comes with cold foil on the first and the last station with in-line lamination, rotary die-cutting, sheeting with conveyor and video web inspection for 100 percent print registration accuracy.

Global Graphics Machineries also launched DK-320, a slitter rewinder from Weigang with turret rewind option. It helps in speeding up the production of small barcode application rolls from the mother roll. It comes with an option of circular and razor blades along with label length and counting sensor.

Accurate Labels from Noida booked one DK-320 and one DK-320G slitter with rotary die-cutter for producing plain barcode labels. The company is one of the first users of Weigang products and also has other flexo presses and die-cutting machines from Weigang on its pressroom floor.

Several other orders were also received from companies such as Interact Tex Labels, based in Kolkata, which booked a 5-color flexo press, flat-bed die-cutting machine, core cutting machine and an inspection machine during the show. Infra Print pack from Kashipur in Uttarakhand placed an order of an all UV 6-color ZBS-320 Weigang flexo printing press, WQM320G flat bed die-cutting and hot stamping machine, DK-320G slitter with rotary die-cutter and DK 320 slitting machine.

Amongst other equipment sold by Global Graphics Machineries at Labelexpo India 2014 were a WQM320G die-cutting machine with hot stamping sold to Seap Lami Pack based in Delhi, and a repeat order of Grafotronics printing and converting machine from Great Eastern Impex based in Gurgaon.

Global Graphics also displayed Weigang offset press for the second time at Labelexpo India 2014, and Sharma said: ‘It is one of the most sophisticated label presses using intermittent technology.

‘With in-line cold foil attachment as one of the major features, it became a big attraction for converters. We displayed it for the second time to give an opportunity to visitors to re-think about the evolving short- and medium- run jobs market in India.’
