Intergraphic outlines growth plans through tradeshows
Intergraphic Sales & Services has confirmed its participation at Gulf Print & Pack 2015, taking place April 13-16 in Dubai, where it plans to build on its success at Labelexpo India 2014, and is ‘actively considering participation’ in Labelexpo Europe 2015.

This is to be the fourth time that Intergraphic Sales & Services has participated at the Dubai show, and Amit Sheth, managing director of Intergraphic Sales & Services, said: ‘At Gulf Print & Pack we will display at least two of the three launches made in Delhi during Labelexpo India 2014.
‘The MEA market has been important to Intergraphic for a long time and we would like to explore and reach out with our new products.’
Intergraphic Sales & Services is actively considering participation in the next Labelexpo Europe too, taking place September 29 to October 2 in Brussels, Belgium, and Sheth said: ‘We are looking at getting global exposure with products including 100 percent label inspection machines, ramp punching machines and core cutters.’
During Labelexpo India 2014, Intergraphic Sales & Services launched and displayed a 100 percent label inspection machine, a core cutter and a label punching machine for wet glue labels and non-PSA labels. ‘We received an overwhelming response for all of our equipment,’ Sheth said.
While the 100 percent label inspection machine on display was sold to Star Offset in Mumbai, Total Print Solution, also based in Mumbai, booked one too. Further, two machines were booked for export, one each to Africa and the UAE.
The 100 percent label inspection machine comes with a 4k color Basler German camera, has a maximum unwinding diameter of 750mm and maximum rewinding diameter of 750mm.
Intergraphic Sales & Services sold a number of label punching machines at Labelexpo India 2014 also, with the machine on display sold to Classic Printers based in Kanpur. It can punch 150mm blocks of labels in three seconds with the help of special mold dies in any shape. It is suitable for beverage labels, in-mold labels, tickets and tags.
Sheth added: ‘Wonder Pac from Delhi booked its second hot melt coating machine which was displayed at the show with newly introduced strip gumming . Core cutters received a great response as well and sold like hot cakes to a number of companies in the label industry.'
Commenting on trends in the Indian label industry, Sheth said: ‘India has been growing in leaps and bounds and we see a sea change in converters’ understanding. Most of them are shifting from conventional methods to more automated and easy going technology.
‘However, it’s not correct to talk about digital or highly configured machines all the time when basic requirements such as skill development, technical education, lean management and cost restructuring are missing for sustaining new technology and its adoption.'
