Labels Unlimited buys Xeikon 3030
Labels Unlimited has purchased and installed a Xeikon 3030 digital color press to support its growing business in pressure-sensitive labels, tags, film, laser sheets and other types of packaging.

The Canadian company provides products to customers across North America, and is anticipating growth. It will celebrate its 30th anniversary next year.
Its label and packaging customers come from the food and beverage industry, to hospitals and semi-pharmaceutical businesses. As such, it has been investigating printing processes to serve their different needs, with general manager Larry Chartrand saying: ‘Virtually everything we do is custom. What do you want? We'll make it.’
These short runs and specific customer needs led it to choose a Xeikon 3030 press, with the capability to produce labels of various shapes and sizes, using temporary or permanent adhesives and other variables.
It took a couple of years for Labels Unlimited to settle on a digital press to invest in, with one of the deciding factors being the ability to print on a large variety of substrates.
Labels Unlimited said it also found that the print quality of Xeikon technology is more consistent versus the competitive offerings, while Xeikon's toners have higher light fastness ratings than other digital printing technologies and they are environmentally safe. "
‘The combination of all those things came together and now that we have the press we know we made the right decision,’ concluded Chartrand.
