‘This year, New Wave Converting will celebrate 34 years of providing quality printing and lamination services at our two facilities located in Fontana, California. With the acquisition of the Comexi F2 MP 10-color press, we can perform coatings in register, as well as produce matte and glossy images for our customer’s packaging’, explains Fritz Huber, New Wave Converting finance executive. ‘We are 100 percent committed to our customers. We can now achieve 10-color printing and solventless lamination in just one week’.

Comexi F2 MP, designed especially for the American market, has been developed to meet long run printing needs of the flexible packaging sector. It has the patent of the FLEXOEfficiency concept of ergonomics and accessibility as well as performance of the remaining F2 range offering the maximum speed of up to 500 m/min.

‘It is a very important operation for Comexi North America’, said Tom Calahan, Comexi area manager. ‘This operation with New Wave Converting allows us to enter into the market and opens the doors for future operations with flexographic presses in this area’.

The agreement with New Wave Converting allows Comexi North America to further strengthen its presence in the United States, where the company recently moved its headquarters to Miami, FL. In the new, 15,000sqf facilities, the company will also open a new demo and training center serving the region.
