In mid-February this year, ERBI in Lodz took its new Diana X 80 folding carton gluing machine with both inspection control and Braille modules, making it one of the best equipped Diana X 80 machines in Poland, Heidelberg said.

Founded in 1993, ERBI now has a production area of 3,000 sq m. Every year, it produces over 280 million packaging items and more than 100 million inserts. Its pressroom includes a Speedmaster CD 74 five-color press with coating unit and a Printmaster GTO 52 two-color machine.

In addition to the new Diana X 80, the print shop's post-press section boasts an Easygluer 100 folding carton gluing machine, a Varimatrix 105 CS die-cutter, and the Polar N 115 Plus cutting system.

Over 70 percent of production is exported and the error rate last year was just 0.127 percent.

‘We specialize in production for the pharmaceutical industry and need state-of-the-art machines to meet its high demands,’ said ERBI owner Jakub Bielecki.

Heidelberg said Polish folding carton print shops are increasingly using its post-press equipment, with ERBI's Diana X 80 the 10th folding carton gluing machine of this model to be installed in Poland in as many years. A further seven Easygluer folding carton gluing machines, eight Dymatrix die-cutters, and 14 Varimatrix die-cutters have also been installed over the same period.
