IPC comprises a graphic design studio, printshop and finishing department, and is active in both commercial and packaging printing. In addition, the company runs a shop in Port Louis, the country’s capital, selling stationery and a diversity of trendy, mainly printed souvenirs.

Engineered for sheet formats up to 605 x 750mm and configured with a package of board handling accessories, the press is configured for processing substrates between 80gsm and 450gsm. The feature list includes switchable differential-speed drives for the dampening units, roller coatings for low alcohol and alcohol free printing, and CleanTronic Synchro for parallel washing processes. ErgoTronic ACR takes care of register measurements, while ErgoTronic ColorDrive measures and controls the ink densities. CIP3 PPF data from pre-press can be converted into press pre-setting data via LogoTronic CIPLinkX.

The press It to be delivered at the end of March. Production is expected to start in the middle of the year. The press was sold through DSI, the Koenig & Bauer sales partner for Mauritius, the Seychelles and Madagascar.

The compact, space-saving design of the Rapida 75 Pro, its low energy consumption and the availability of a local service partner in DSI are cited as reasons for IPC to make the purchase.

In June last year, DSI invited local printers to a seminar introducing the latest print technology from Koenig & Bauer.
