Rottaprint expands shrink sleeve label production with MPS

Rottaprint, known as the first and largest flexographic printing company producing self-adhesive labels and flexible packaging in Romania, has ordered its first MPS press, an EFA+ 530 fully automated multi-substrate flexo press with ‘talk to me’ connectivity.

The sale marks the first MPS press sold into Romania.

Sebastiaan Rakhorst, MPS regional sales director for Central and Southeast Europe, said: ’We are pleased that Rottaprint chose MPS. The purchase process was comprehensive, involving in-depth knowledge sharing with MPS customers in the Netherlands and Spain and two days spent at MPS headquarters in Arnhem for live press demonstrations. We also visited Rottaprint on-site to learn more about their production environment and company strategy in the years ahead.’

Rottaprint offers multiple printing technologies including flexography, offset, screen printing and digital. 

According to company statement, Rottaprint chose MPS for its focus on printing productivity and team of application specialists with knowledge in shrink sleeve label production. 

The MPS EFA is a multi-substrate press designed for printing labels and flexible packaging on any material, varying from thin unsupported films, self-adhesive labels, shrink sleeves and cartonboard up to 450μm. The EFA+ package enables full servo driven automation of all print pressure settings.
