Second US printer makes Xeikon Cheetah investment

Action Packaging Systems selected the Xeikon CX3 to support its efforts to provide high quality products within exceptionally fast turnaround times to its customers. Xeikon Cheetah technology includes a press speed of 98ft/min (30m/min). Action Packaging Systems becomes the second customer in North America for Xeikon’s Cheetah technology, after Accu-Label, and the fifth worldwide, including units at Telrol, Mercian Labels and CS Labels in Europe. The CX3 will complement Action Packaging Systems’ existing production platform which includes a Xeikon 3500 digital press, as well as flexographic printing technology. The CX3 will provide additional production capacity and also give the company greater flexibility to shift more short run jobs from flexo to digital production, increasing cost-efficiency and productivity.
