Yunhshui invests in Konica Minolta AccurioLabel 230

Founded in December 2020, Yunshui is a subsidiary of Hubei Lvyuan Drink, one of the largest producers of custom bottled water in Hubei province. The company was established by water sector specialists with years of experience and a complete understanding of the market to provide more professional, more convenient and faster label design and printing services.

‘As the customized bottled water sector in China continues to grow, the demand for short run, personalized, multi-type labels and just-in-time delivery keeps increasing. It’s difficult for original suppliers to meet our needs regarding a delivery cycle, product design, and production process, especially when the same customer has multiple label requirements. We have to seek different suppliers to produce the corresponding labels,’ commented Said Chen Yun, director of Yunshui.

The company has been evaluating the best digital press to suit its specific needs for the last three years before choosing Konica Minolta technology. 

‘From a brand owner perspective, Yunshui is still a newcomer in label printing production, especially in the sector of digital label printing. Therefore, we focus on the stability of the equipment, the maturity of the market application, as well as the later operating costs. This device from Konica Minolta is exactly what we needed,’ added Chen Yun.

In addition to equipment investment, Yunshui has also signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Konica Minolta, aiming to accelerate building of a customized water label printing and packaging center in China.

‘As a digital press supplier, Konica Minolta will also provide more personalized technical support and services to Yunshui, such as technical personnel training, customer-engineered equipment maintenance, and so on. In the future, we hope that both companies could go forward hand in hand, to promote the development and growth of customized bottled water label printing center and the strategic development in the country,’ commented Li Gang, general manager of professional printing solution operations at Konica Minolta China.

This Accuriolabel 230 digital press will be installed in early July, followed by a gravure press and PS rotary press.
