Zircon adds further flexo capacity with third Omet press in three years
India’s Zircon Technologies has taken its third press from Italian manufacturer Omet in three years, with an XFlex X4 recently installed and commissioned at its Dehradun plant.

The 10-color 370mm-wide Omet XFLex X4 features two screen printing stations, hot foil, cold foil, embossing and two die-cutting stations. It has an advanced fully automatic register control system that registers in both machine and cross direction, eliminating operator interference to register the press.
Zircon Technologies is headquartered in Noida with manufacturing facilities in Dehradun in the North and Chennai in South India. It has invested, on average, more than one press a year over the last nine years, and is adding 50,000 sq ft of factory space to facilitate further growth.
The XFlex X4 forms part of the printer’s work to strenghthen its position in the label market, as reported here. The XFlex X4 sale has been handled by New Delhi based Weldon Celloplast, the exclusive agent for Omet in India and surrounding countries, and Harveer Sahni, managing director of Weldon Celloplast, commented: ‘Zircon Technologies is a very prestigious customer for us. Its recent expansion with a third press is proof of our quality and service being delivered to him and we look forward to more such installations with him.’
Paolo Grasso, Omet international sales manager, added that Sanjeev Sondhi, Zircon Technologies director, ‘has been a very precision demanding customer and can only be satisfied by new technologies available today.
‘By investing in the third Omet press in less than three years, he shows the same trust in Omet which we are now seeing with the global leaders of the printing industry. We at Omet thank him and his team for his trust in us.’
