Avery Dennison launches DPP platform
ReadyDPP targets apparel brands ahead of EU ESPR compliance deadline.
Avery Dennison has launched ReadyDPP, an integrated platform for creating and managing Digital Product Passports for the apparel industry, combining software, digital ID technology, physical labels, hardware, consultancy and technical support under a single offering.
The launch comes as the European Commission's central DPP registry is expected to go live on July 19, 2026 under Article 13 of the Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation. The textile-specific Delegated Act is expected to be adopted in 2027, with brands selling clothing in the EU required to comply within 18 months of its publication.
ReadyDPP connects garments to their digital identity through data carriers including QR codes, NFC tags and RFID inlays, hosting the digital twin on a cloud platform. The technology is offered in three tiers, Essentials, Pro and Enterprise, allowing brands to start with software or labels only and scale as regulatory requirements develop.
Beyond compliance, Avery Dennison said DPPs can unlock commercial value through resale, re-commerce, anti-counterfeiting and direct consumer engagement.
'Digital Product Passports provide brands with a golden opportunity to enhance data management, get closer to their customers and tackle profit erosion caused by counterfeiting,' said Delia Glover, vice president of product, innovation and solutions development at Avery Dennison.
