KBA hosts Nordic Open House

Printers and potential customers from Sweden and Finland were invited to find out more about the latest developments regarding medium and large format Rapida presses.

The day began with a presentation on the latest innovations and trends in sheet-fed offset, including a series of print demos starting with HR-UV on a Rapida 75. This was followed by the production of four-color print samples with high ink coverage printed on 80gsm paper. The subsequent job was on board with additional drip-off finishing effects. The next demo took place on an eight-color Rapida 105 with a focus on comparing conventional and HR-UV or LED UV printing.

Print instructors also demonstrated fast job changes on a Rapida 145 with simultaneous printing plate changeover and in-line finishing with drip-off coating.

KBA’s Open House season will continue on May 14-15 when packaging printers from all over the world will gather at KBA for the Packaging. Competence. Network. 2014 event. This is followed by an event on June 13 for label printers and June 27 for commercial printing.
